This festival within the Festival is for makers, collectors and anyone keen to learn more about ceramics. Choose from exhibitions at more than a dozen dealer and public art galleries, take a late-night ‘crawl’ between venues, or attend a firing workshop. With a range of opportunities to appreciate and even acquire your own piece, Fired Up is a fantastic way to explore and celebrate New Zealand’s lively and diverse contemporary ceramics-making.
